"Skoda Octavia facelift 2017" launched in India


The 2017 Skoda Octavia facelift will come for a price of Rs 20 lakh (ex showroom, New Delhi)- Rs 25 lakh (ex showroom, New Delhi).

Since driving the 2017 Skoda Octavia facelift, we have been waiting for its launch in India. Now, we have confirmation that Skoda will launch the 2017 Octavia facelift in India on July 13 with bookings now underway. The new Skoda Octavia is based on the MQB platform, which is underpins many Volkswagen and Skoda models in India.\


2017 Skoda Octavia facelift
While the 2017 Skoda Octavia facelift will only come with cosmetic changes, under the bonnet will feature the same petrol and diesel engine. Skoda has previously launched the Skoda with minor changes in 2013 and is now in its 4th generation. We have already driven the 2017 Skoda Octavia facelift and this is what the updated sedan has to offer.
Engine:
Skoda will continue to offer a choice of efficient diesel and petrol engine options for the face-lifted car. There's a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 150bhp and 250Nm of power, mated to a six-speed manual transmission only; while a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 143bhp and 320Nm, mated to a six-speed DSG gearbox claims 21kmpl as overall rate.
Design:
The Octavia is more stylish than ever before. The 2017 version of the Octavia gets visual tweaks that takes the design language a little further to look contemporary. The updated Octavia comes with a new sports split lamps with the grille cascading onto the two lamps. Skoda calls this Adaptive Frontlight System. The car also features with automatic DRLs which gets activated by the light sensors and fog lamps.
Features:
The 2017 Skoda Octavia gets an 8-inch colour infotainment touchscreen with Mirror Link, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The touchscreen is also one of the smoothest to operate in a car of this segment. It also offers an app called BossConnect that allows you to operate the infotainment system through your phone. The car also gets park assist which helps reduce parking effort as sensors help identify a parking space and line the car up.
